My sister has recently started her own site where she talks about fashion and thoughts on style. The site is called Dress Me Dearly. Anyhow, I thought I would put a bit of a plug in here for her and a bit of "link love".
I have to say I am quite impressed so far with the frequency and quality of the content being posted. Lots of images, articles, and even a video entry have been posted so far.
2009 is here. I have to apologize for the lack of content the past few months. I have really been dogging it. This blog represents a lot about what is going on in my life. I use it as a diary of thoughts and ideas that are going on and lately it has been about holidays and my work, so I haven't entertained much extra curricular stuff.
I'm going to get back on the horse here shortly though. I need to do some earnings reports and a few more finance related articles that have been on my mind.
My wife's cousing recently embarked on an around the world trip for almost a year. He purchased one of those "round the world" airline tickets and took off.
Anyhow, he is a professional photographer and quite a good writer I have found out. You should check out or subscribe to his blog, Openshaw360 if you like to follow some interesting travel commentary and see some great photos.

October's numbers and September's numbers are in brackets.
Almost a new records in every metric and by quite a large margin. I think this goes to prove that it isn't how much new content is put up, but how much good content has already been put up. I did add some good articles last month though. Specifically my analysis on TD Rebate Rewards and TD Elite Gold Visa Cards as well as CIBC Aerogold and AeroClassic Visas.
October 2008 Traffic
Overall, my earnings for October 2008 were $309.87. That is my highest earnings ever and the first time I have cracked $300. Here is the breakdown with last month's numbers in brackets.
This is awesome, awesome results. The first time for racking $200 on Adsense as well. My Kontera has been slowly declining which is interesting. I have been tempted to pull it off and I wonder if it limits my Adsense earnings in reality. I will leave them for now though.
It has been an excellent month for traffic and revenue.
I still want to add Text Link Ads, but they keep saying my site does not receive enough traffic.

The election is over and it is another minority government. I'm sure you all know the results already.
Anyhow, I was impressed with the map on CBC's website that shows the distribution. Click the map to go to their site and see all the detail.
I don't know what is going on my. My RSS readers counter at on the right side of the page has dropped to 44 today. Feedburner occasionally fluctuates up and down, but this is a big jump.
They were recently acquired by Google and they have been changing a few things. Most importantly, they have added advertising to the RSS feeds if you want them to. I recently made this switch, so I am hoping this isn't the reason why.
The RSS feed still works for me in my reader, so everything should be okay.
I'll keep an eye out on how much revenue the RSS feed is actually generating as well.

Not a huge change, but it was alright. I have added advertising to my RSS feed, so it will be interesting to see how that performs as well.

My PayU2Blog went to $0 because I was not around. I have to write to earn with them. Fortunately, my Adsense picked up and got me within a few dollars of June's earnings anyways.

This month was a record for almost every metric...again. Way more traffic and it was very consistent across the month. This is another example of where I didn't write all that much myself, but I did have consistent commenting and the numbers did improve.

My Adsense really dropped off for some reason. Interesting how it dropped that much with higher traffic.
It has been an excellent month for traffic but revenues definitely took a hit.
