The extended warranty is always a hot topic. Do you need it? Sentiments are often negative now and I'm not sure why. I suppose because people feel they will never use it and the companies make more money off the service plan then the actual item. But it is insurance...plain and simple. No different then life insurance, car insurance, or anything else. If you have to use it great, but for the most part you probably never will and it is just peace of mind. So if you are interested in insurance on your purchases, then an extended service plan or warranty is a great idea.
