Trans Siberian Railway Washroom - Photo Of The Day
I had to take this shot. In July of 2007, my wife and I took the Trans Siberian Railway across Russia and down into Beijing. It is over 6 days of actual train time, but we broke it up by getting off for a couple days here and there. You can read about it in my Trans Siberian Railway article.
The washrooms were what my wife was looking forward to the most (yeah right). The were tight and the toilet emptied right out onto the train tracks. When the train would pull into a town they would lock the washroom door about 15 minutes before hand just so someone wouldn't go in a leave a surprise at the train platform for people waiting.
I took my camera and I had my Sigma 10-20mm wide-angle lens on. You can read the review of hte sigma 10-20mm here. I held the camera up in the corner of hte bathroom and pointed it down. It gives a real feel for the inside of these rooms.

Hey, sorry to bother you. I just found this pic on googles images and I had to ask.
My girlfriend and I, and a few friends, are planning a trip on the TSR from Moscow to Vladi. Not breaking it up like you did but going the whole 6 days (We have plans in Moscow, Vladi and going over to Japan too for a week). I just wondered if you could give me some advice on going, how you found it, any insider tips etc.
Thanks in advance.
James.
