Blow Up Your Favorite Photo On Canvas
I have always wanted to blow up some of my favorite photos and put them on the wall. I always say I will and then never do however. I have recently been introduced to a web company that will do this for me and it looks quite good.
Canvas On Demand is a website that offers a variety of canvas photo products. You basically pick a picture that you want a photo enlargement of, select any options, and submit your order.
I am sending away one of my favorite photos to be done. This picture is of the wedding party at my wedding. I will post a sample of it here shortly, but I am getting the negative digitalized right now. I always thought it would make a good feature piece on a wall without getting too dated over the years.
Canvas Options
The SizeThe canvas sizes range from 8" by 10" up to 40" by 60". This is a pretty good range. You can fill in a small space somewhere or have it as a feature piece on a wall.
The WrapIt can be thin or thick and have a couple different framing options to finish it off nice.
Canvas TechniqueYou can also have your photo enlargement altered in a few different ways if you want. Black & white and sepia are standard changes you can make. However, there are also "light brushstrokes", restoration, collage, colorization, retouching, replace background, and if you asked I am sure their staff could make other alterations for you.
Showcase Samples
The other strong point of their site is their shocase of samples. I shouldn't say samples either. They are customer submissions of work that has been done. They have the sectioned off based on the canvas technique or the subject, but they also show the other details of what exactly the individual ordered (i.e. the size and framing options) and what the final cost was for the print.
Conclusion
I am quite excited to get my photo enlargement back from them and I will be posting a follow up article when that happens. Check out the site for Canvas On Demand.
