Clocks and Decorating Your House
A necessity that often goes undervalued are the clocks in your house. I have personally always purchased the cheapest wall clock I can find at Ikea or the cheap furniture stores. But when you do spend a bit, it can be a great addition to any room.
For my parents 25th anniversary I purchased a wall clock that had the chimes. Made of dark wood and the classic roman numerals on the clock face, it looked fantastic and is now a feature piece off the dining room.
One piece I do hope to have when I am older is a grandfather clock. This link is for 1-800-4clocks.com. I was recently at this site and it reminded me of the classic look you can get from having a grandfather clock in your home. They carry a variety of clocks in sleek newer looking styles or the classic carved pieces.
Personally I love the dark wood and silver colored metal. Definitely an excellent piece for the formal living or dining rooms and would be a great gift for any anniversary or birthday.
