What Kind of Insurance Do You Need
This is another PayPerPost assignment I have accepted. I was scrolling through the list of available assignments and here was an insurance one. There are so many different kinds of insurance out there today and the fact is, you need it.
I have recently booked my holiday for this summer and purchased travel insurance. Any number of things can happen before or during your trip. Trip cancellation do to injury or unforeseen circumstances before or during the trip, loss of baggage, medical costs, repatriation costs, and even theft of your belongings. I always purchase a reasonable amount of insurance before I go.
Home insurance is another big one. Whether you own it or just want tenant's insurance, it can save you big time when something unforunate happens.
My wife and I shopped around a lot for car insurance as well. You would be surprised at the differences in rates between companies. Phone around, shop online, and compare prices.
The last one that I was asked to link to is pet insurance. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know there was such a thing. After speaking to a relative with a nice black labrador, I realized this is very common. You invest in a pet and there are a number of costs that come along with it. Insurance can protect you from these.
Anyhow, insurance is an interesting topic. A lot of people will argue about what is best or whether it is necessary. I personally insure anything that I place significant value on. House, car, travel expenses, camera equipment, and jewelery. My camera and jewelery can be attached to my home insurance for an extra fee. There is no sense in taking risk.
